Beyond The River

All people in the BTR tribe, healthy in identity and function, encountering God daily and multiplying in numbers of gatherings.

We are family builders. We influence and release people to know and rely on God’s love and to live Jesus’ way through a life of service. We do this by first seeking God’s Kingdom and His righteousness. We cultivate family in all areas (spirit, mind, body & social) through regular gatherings to worship together, equip each other and multiply communities of faith, beginning in Asia.

A. Worship God alone and pursue Him wholeheartedly
• 1. Spend our days in worship, with much time devoted together in prayer
• 2. Dialogue daily with God to know His heart and mind for the community
• 3. Creatively encourage each other into a life of worship

B. Influence and release each other to know and rely on God’s love
• 1. Cultivate family holistically (including families of fellowship, people in our spheres of influence and partners in ministry)
• 2. Host monthly gatherings for sharing, influence & empowerment
• 3. Release others in their calling through relationship & discipleship
  • Mobilize friends and resources outside our home cities
  • Restore identity as family (focus on employees & community leaders)
  • Release people into their purposes
• 4. Honor a network of leadership

C. Work in any domain (i.e. Business) only if the work supports the overall mission to build God’s family. We especially are burdened to meet real & felt needs
• 1. Coordinate work with like-minded people
• 2. Share administrative, legal and financial services
• 3. Pray, ponder & pursue creative Kingdom ideas as if lives depend on it

D. Serve each other and share generously
• 1. Serve and partner with locals to develop unity and community
• 2. Share gifts, abilities & physical resources sacrificially for one another
